Agriculture will play a prominent role in NY’s efforts to help clean up the Chesapeake Bay.  While there has been significant progress, these cleanup activities to meet the targets imposed by the EPA will require the continued support and cooperation of all farms in the watershed.  This effort, we know, comes at a time when farmers in our communities have little left to give, in terms of resources, time and energy.

This is a chance for local ag producers to weigh in and be heard on this important topic.  Failure to meet the targets will invite regulatory action that will be an added burden on our farm families.

Join local conservation district staff and fellow farmers to discuss the Watershed Implementation Plan, and share your thoughts and perspectives.  What makes sense? What help do you need to do these things? What can’t you do?

Help us to show EPA that voluntary conservation can work!  RSVP to SWCD at 756-5991.
