The Cortland County Soil and Water Conservation District will host a presentation about the recently drafted Community Forest Management Plan (CFMP) for the forested areas of Dwyer Park on March 28, 2023 at 5 pm in the NYS Grange Auditorium. There is also a Webex link for those unable to attend in person but wishing to listen in.
The SWCD will provide an overview of the project and LBS Ecological, consultant for the project, will review the results of their forest inventory and recommendations for managing the forest resources in Dwyer Park. They will discuss the management units identified for the property, their compositions, the ecosystem analyses results, and maintenance recommendations including trimming and pruning, removal, invasive species management, plantings and more.
Following the presentation, attendees are welcome to provide comment or ask questions. The document is available for download or review. Due to the size of the document, the quality is currently in draft and printed copies are not available.
