It’s gardening season! Time to start seeds indoors so they will be ready to transplant outside.  If you are lucky enough to have the right facilities, maybe you can even start planting outside. If you are beginning gardening, or maybe you are looking to try something new, we have a few resources available our website.  Our Urban Agriculture page has links to a few topics of interest including pollinators and composting.  You can check out the Information Resources link to find fact sheets on soil, raised beds, and other topics.

If you are fortunate enough to have ample planting room, why not also grow a row for your community and donate that extra produce?  A local organization Seven Valleys Health Coalition, operates the Seven Valleys Food Rescue (SVFR) program which picks up excess edible  food from local donors across Cortland County and delivers it to local organizations and community programs that feed community members experiencing food insecurity.
