RONNY RAINDROP
Flat Ronny Raindrop
Cortland County’s Flat Ronny Raindrop activity was inspired by the Flat Stanley Project, an educational project begun in 1995 by Dale Hubert, a third grade schoolteacher in London, Ontario, Canada. The project features a paper cut‐out of a book character named Stanley Lambchop, from a book written in 1964 by Jeff Brown. After Stanley is accidentally flattened, his parents roll him up and mail him to his friend in California. The project was designed to facilitate reading, writing and geography skills of elementary school students and promote an interest in learning about different people and places.
To travel with flat Ronny, color him, cut him out, and take him wherever you go! Don’t forget to photograph Ronny as he explores new places and experiences new activities, and submit your photo to our photo contest! #cortlandconservation
