EDUCATION
Cortland County SWCD provides numerous environmental education opportunities for all ages.
Elementary school children enjoy a visit from Ronnie Raindrop ® and learn about water.
Older Elementary and Middle School children enjoy these all day field trip activities: Conservation Field Days, Ag-Extravaganza and Farm Days. These are held as a join effort between SWCD, NRCS and other agencies like the Cornell Cooperative Extension and NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.
The Rural Landowner's Workshop is held annually in the spring. This workshop features speakers and topics of interest to landowners.

Nature Adventure Backpacks are available to community residents to borrow for excursions into Nature. The informational materials and activities are aimed at children and families to help develop an appreciation of Nature around them.
